Courses are run regularly throughout the year or can be arranged to fit your requirements. We are based in Chepstow but can travel anywhere in the UK to arrange a course to suit your needs or at your dive club. Open water sessions are usually run along the south coast in Weymouth or Plymouth. If weather conditions mean it is impossible to do open water sessions then courses are also run at NDAC in Chepstow as well as Stoney Cove or Wraysbury.

SDI Advanced Bouyancy Control



SDI Advanced Buoyancy Control
This two day programme is designed to develop on a divers fundamental buoyancy, finning and streamlining skills thereby making him/her more comfortable, competent and confident underwater. The course includes fining techniques, bouyancy control, horizontal descents/ascents, body trim, hovering and SMB deployment. Four dives are included to practice the skills covered on the course. It can be taken either as a stand-alone development course or as a primer for further technical level training.

Pre-requisites: Open water diver or equivalent, Minimum 18 years of age.

SDI Solo diver


SDI Solo/Self Sufficient Diver
One of SDI's most popular courses, the solo diver program teaches experienced recreational divers how to safely dive independently of a dive buddy or strengthen your buddy team skills. The 2 day course stresses on proper dive planning, personal limitations, accident prevention as well as the benefits, hazards, and proper procedures for diving solo. You will also learn the additional equipment that is required for solo diving including it's proper usage and assembly. This is the prefect course for instructors, parents diving with their children, underwater photographers, underwater video divers and thir buddies

Pre-requisites: Advanced Diver or equivalent, Minimum 21 years of age, Proof of 100 logged dives

Decompression theory


Introduction to Decompression Theory
This half day course is designed to introduce the basics aspects of decompression theory. The course includes a brief history of decompression theory, Nitrogen uptake and release, tissue compartments, saturation, and M-Values. It focuses on the traditional Haldane/Buhlmann approach to decompression but does briefly cover newer bubble models.

Cost: £100 (£80 when combined with any other course)

Advanced Decompression Theory
For those wishing to understand more about decompression theory then this one day course includes the history of decompression theory, Nitrogen uptake and release, tissue compartments, saturation, and M-Values. It covers a variety of decompression models including Haldane, Buhlmann, DCIEM, Bubble models, slab models and the BSAC-88 tables. Decompression with gas mixes other than air and accelerated decompression are also covered.

CPR and First Aid


First Response CPR and First Aid
This course is a Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation and First Aid combined into one program. It is designed to teach divers the proper techniques to safely administer CPR and evaluate and administer the correct First Aid for a given injury. The student will be qualified at the end of this specialty to recognize and evaluate an emergency situation and a casualty, know how to activate or alert the emergency services, and be able to provide one person adult CPR and administer the proper First Aid to a non-breathing or injured casualty.

Pre-requisites: Minimum 18 years of age

Oxygen Admin


First Response Oxygen Administrator
This course is a Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation and emergency Oxygen administration combined into one program. It is designed to teach divers the proper techniques to safely administer CPR and O2 in emergency situations. The student will be qualified at the end of this specialty to: Evaluate a casualty, provide one person adult CPR and be able to administer O2 to a breathing or non-breathing casualty.

CPR, First Aid, Oxygen Admin and AED


First Response CPR, First Aid Oxygen Admin and AED
This course is a Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation, First Aid, Oxygen Admin and AED package combined into one program. It is designed to teach divers the proper techniques to safely administer CPR, evaluate and administer the correct First Aid for a given injury and to safely administer O2 and a defibrilator in emergency situations. The student will be qualified at the end of this specialty to recognize and evaluate an emergency situation and a casualty, know how to activate or alert the emergency services, and be able to provide one person adult CPR and administer the proper First Aid, oxygen or an AED to a non-breathing or injured casualty.

Decompression theory



Technical Rescue
The technical rescue diver course is designed to develop the knowledge and necessary skills for an individual to effectively perform diver rescues for technical dives involving stage decompression, multiple breathing mixtures and rich Nitrox mixes. The course also covers accident management for technical diving incidents, rescue skills required for support divers involved in technical diving projects as well as for rescue divers supporting technical training courses.

Pre-requisites: TDI Intro to Tech or Equivalent, Minimum 18 years of age

TDI Technical Dive Master


TDI Technical Dive Master
This course is designed for anyone who wants to expand their technical diving skills or start the journey towards becomming a echnical instructor. We only run this course on an intern basis. You will work with us to gain the experience and knowledge required to hekp out on technical diving courses.

Pre-requisites: TDI Trimix or equivalent, Minimum 18 years of age

SDI Instructor
Interested in becoming a recreational diving instructor? The SDI Instructor Development course will give you the tools you need to become a great instructor and will open up a new profession for you. SDI IDC courses are run through out the year on a one off or intern basis.

Pre-requisites: SDI Divemaster/Assistant Instructor or equivalent, 100 logged dives in a variety of conditions, age 18 or over, CPR, First Aid and Oxygen Administrator

If you are an active technical diver and an experienced recreational instructor then becoming a TDI Instructor may be the next step for you. You will start off by teaching TDI Nitrox, Intro to Tech and with experince you can progress to teaching the full range of tech courses. TDI is the largest and most widely respected technical diving agency in the world. If you want to be a part of this unique organisation then get in touch. However, be aware that becoming a TDI instructor requires a lot of work and practice. We only want the very best divers and instructors teaching the TDI programme.

Pre-requisites: SDI Open Water Instructor or equivalent, age 18, TDI Advanced Nitrox and Decompression Procedures diver or equivalent.
